Starting from Aug 2009, AFSL will enforce to test all breaking charge to evaluate its powder energy. The purpose of the test is to ensure breaking charge formulation is equivalent to that of black powder. On the other side, too energetic powder is causing US CPSC fail the item.
The test is using a simple test fixture that developed by Tian Chang Pyrotechnic Laboratory (TCPL), subcontracted by AFSL and supply to its shippers for testing. If any factory who like to understand more about the method and equipment of the testing, please contact TCPL.
